We couldn't sit on these news any longer! Proud to present @howlinggiant at Esbjerg Fuzztival 2026! This band just hit the number one spot on Octobers Doom Charts with their new album, and we can't wait to see them in Denmark in May!
Here are a few words from Rich Piva on Howling Giant's new album "Crucible & Ruin".
Crucible & Ruin shows that if there is a next heavy underground band to take the Elder/King Buffalo leap to the next level, it is HOWLING GIANT. Why, you say? Zach Wheeler’s drumming is off the charts, showing he is one of the best players out there today. Sebastian Baltes hangs right with Zach in keeping down the low end and anchoring all of the amazing stuff coming at you. The addition of Adrian Zambrano as a second guitar and fourth member has brought both a new level of musicianship and a bigger overall sound that makes all of these songs just huge. Vocalist/guitarist Tom Polzine just rips it up with his axe work and the best vocal performance of his career. The sound that has been captured is pretty much perfect, while the songwriting is next level as well. It would have been easy to continue down a more melodic hard rock path like their last album, but instead Crucible & Ruin is the most complex, heavy, progressive group of songs, that takes their sound to the stratosphere. A for sure album of the year candidate and a must listen for everyone.

Der er INGEN undskyldning for ikke at dukke op, for samtidig præsenterer vi Esbjerg lokale Natskygge i deres debut som trio, og det er med helt nyt musik! Alt sammen for UNDER 100kr! Og for det ikke skal være løgn, så har vi både billige flaske-øl, specialøl fra Fanø Bryghus, og tilbud på et glas lækker hvidvin. Så er sommeren sgu da i gang.

and then the sun set over another edition of Fuzztival. What a wild ride it was.

We had more than one setback during the year, and there was a moment everything looked pretty grim. But these moments melted away in the light of all your faces! Our decision to focus on a more intimate experience seems to have been the right one, and a lot of things just clicked this edition. But we also learned a few things, and already have ideas to improve the next edition further. We hope to see you there. We already know that 30% of you committed to this, and got your limited tickets. Thank you for that! Incredible!

We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our many volunteers. Without you we could not do this! A special thanks to the volunteers from @konfus6700 who's the most hardworking bunch of smiling faces, jumping on extra shifts and duties when we were in need. And to Bo's dad, who's still working to create our outdoor spaces even though he's on the other side of 70 now.

Once again a huge thank you to our incredible light magician Peter Petersen, working 12+ hours under the blazing heat of his projections. Peter and Ute are the heart of Fuzztival, and we love them dearly.

To our incredible tech crew Minik & Jacob, making each and every band sound amazing, and some times working their own magic, improvising new solutions on an aging stage. A shoutout to our stage manager Lilli being "the bad guy" all weekend, so all the bands still think fondly of us. A huge thank you to all our bands! Wow, what a lineup it was!

Once again a huge shoutout to Det Anarkistiske Køkken for catering all weekend, and for all his stories! To @beanmachinedk for the coffee, which came in at critical times. That espresso! To our last minute food truck. Once again a great thank you to @fanoebryghus for a great selection of brews and for talking us into a very different kind of official Fuzztival beer this year. It was amazing! And a thanks to Torben, Kim, Dan, Statens Kunstfond & Esbjerg Kommune. And another huge thanks to @jakobsktt for jumping in on drums. Class act!
